On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Indian Institute of Business Management, Patna, organized a documentary-making competition. The objective of this event was to promote the cultural and historical richness of Bihar while encouraging students to explore creative storytelling and videography. The documentaries showcased famous tourist spots and their cultural significance, including Mahabodhi Temple, Nalanda University Ruins, Vishwa Shanti Stupa, and more.

Event Overview:

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the batches. The students displayed immense creativity, technical skills, and research abilities while compiling their documentaries.

The documentaries were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising faculty members and media experts, who assessed them based on the following criteria:

• Content relevance and research
• Creativity and storytelling
• Technical aspects, such as cinematography and editing
• Overall presentation

Winning Team:

• The documentary titled " Madhubani, Mithila Region " won first place in the competition. The winning team presented an in-depth exploration of the historical significance of Madhubani, showcasing its architectural marvels and the pivotal role it played in ancient Indian. Their research was thorough, and their presentation reflected an exceptional understanding of the historical narrative.

Student Experiences:

After the event, students shared their experiences, highlighting the challenges and learning outcomes during the documentary-making process. One of the participants from the winning team mentioned:
