World Youth Day Debate at IIBM Explores Impact of Organised vs. Unorganised Crime

In celebration of World Youth Day, the Indian Institute of Business Management (IIBM) hosted a stimulating debate competition, offering a platform for students to express and explore the perspectives of today’s youth. The event revolved around the compelling topic: "The Impact of Organised Crime vs. Unorganised Crime on Society, " drawing attention to a critical societal issue.

The debate featured two teams, each presenting well-researched arguments that sparked insightful discussions among both participants and the audience. The event was moderated by Anindita Das, a 5th-semester BCA student, who skillfully managed the proceedings and ensured an engaging atmosphere throughout.The event was meticulously organized by a team of dedicated students: Diksha Raj (1st-semester BCA), Ansh Chirag (5th-semester BCA), Sparsh Verma (2nd-semester BCA), Atul Raj (2nd-semester BCA), and Nikhil Kalash (2nd-semester BBA). The volunteers included all CED interns and Anindita Das, under the mentorship of Prof. Kaushambi Kaushal.

The debate was judged by an esteemed panel consisting of Prof. Jyotsana Rai, Prof. Rohit Kumar, and Prof. Ritika Singh. The judges evaluated the participants based on their argument strength, clarity, and presentation. The winners were announced as follows:

1st Place: Agam Prakash (1st-semester BCA)

1st Runner-up: Harsh Kapoor (5th-semester BCA)

2nd Runner-up: Diksha Raj (1st-semester BCA)

The event also honored the presence of Chief Guests, Dr. A.K. Nayak, the Group Advisor along with Ganesh Pandey, the Academic Director, whose support and encouragement added to the significance of the occasion.

Beyond the competition, the event served as a reflective space for students to voice their concerns and ideas on societal issues, reinforcing the significance of youth engagement. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the organizing committee, the distribution of certificates, and a group photo to commemorate the successful event, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
