Patna, August 23, 2026: The Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) inaugurated several important centres in Patna, marking a significant step towards strengthening cybersecurity, robotics, technical education and innovation in the region.

The inauguration was led by IETE National President Sunil, who launched the IETE Patna Centre at Shri Ram Plaza. Following this, the IETE-IIBM Cyber Security Excellence Centre (Centre of Excellence – Cybersecurity) was inaugurated at the IIBM-ZHI campus on Boring Road.

The Centre of Excellence is envisioned as a platform for promoting research, innovation, practical learning and skill development in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. The initiative is expected to provide students and aspiring technology professionals with greater exposure to emerging technologies and industry-relevant opportunities.

The collaboration between IETE and IIBM reflects a commitment to developing a stronger ecosystem for technical education and innovation in Bihar, particularly in areas such as cybersecurity, robotics and other emerging technologies.
