The Uttam Institute of Business Management (UIBM), under the aegis of the IIBM Group of Institutions, organised an engaging intra-department debate competition titled “Debating the Digital.” The event brought together students from the MBA, BBA and BCA programmes, providing them with a platform to express their views on important issues shaping the digital age.
The competition featured thought-provoking topics, including national security and individual digital privacy, the impact of social media on human communication, and whether digital learning is superior to traditional classroom education. Students presented their arguments with confidence, demonstrating their research, critical thinking, communication and public-speaking skills.
Sneha Srivastava (MBA, Second Semester), Vaibhav Sinha (BBA, First Semester), and Shreshtha Alok (BCA, Second Semester) emerged as the winners of the competition.
The programme commenced with an address by Group Advisor Prof. Akshaya Kumar Nayak and was organised under the guidance of Group Director Prof. Rohit Singh, Dean (Management), AKU, Bihar. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognising the students for their knowledge, critical thinking, public speaking and debating abilities.
The competition reflected IIBM’s commitment to encouraging holistic development, confidence and industry-relevant skills among students while preparing them to engage thoughtfully with the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.
