On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, a group of students and teachers visited the historic Saptamurti Shaheed Smarak in Patna.
The memorial commemorates the seven brave students who were martyred on 11 August 1942, when they faced British bullets while attempting to hoist the Tricolour at the Secretariat during the Quit India Movement.
Students and teachers offered flowers at the memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs.
During the visit, teachers also introduced the students to the historical story of the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the youth during India’s freedom struggle.
